(1) Principle of Small Beginning (Job 8:7, Job 36:27, Zechariah 4:10, Ezekiel 36:11).
God, Jesus, all self-made millionaires and every successful business started small.
Job 8:7 – Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end should greatly increase.
Job 36:27 – For he makes small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to its vapor.
Zechariah 4:10 – For who has despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
Ezekiel 36:11 – …., and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
Your beginning may be small, don’t despise it. For the joy is coming at the end. God is going to do a better thing to you than at the beginnings. You shall, at last, come to the knowledge of God. That is the way He works, that is one of His principles: The Principle of Little Beginning. He wants you to imbibe that into your being; don’t you see the way heaven and earth were created? Out of nothing! Don’t you see the way a man is formed in the womb? Out of tiny, invisible cells – DNA and Proteins; so small, so little that no human eyes can see it.
Nature has enough to back this principle up:
The way mountains form. From little particles – very small particles. Even the rain, just from a little water that remains on the ground from a downpour and from the surface of exposed waters like a river; rise vapors – minute in quantity, vaguely visible sometimes, come a downpour of mighty rainfall.
No matter what you have acquired till date; no matter the success you have recorded, it is still the beginning. Don’t you see in Athletics that they always set a new record beating the last “New World Record Set?”
That is God’s principle. Yet your latter end should greatly increase.
(2) Principle of Giving (Genesis 2:5-6)
Gen 2:5 – And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Gen 2:6 – But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
Without the sea, there can’t be rain. Some people will gather enough blessings from God and they will not want to give out and that stop them from receiving. Sea, plants, and land – all of them give out their water to the sky; and in return, water is given back to them as rain. It is a cycle. You will overflow if you don’t have tributaries. It is even far much better to have a channel that has many tributaries than to have tributaries. Channels give out immediately it receives and it becomes clean and ready to receive another one. Be a Sea of Galilee and not the Dead Sea. See John 3:16, Luke 21:1-4 (Widow’s mite), 2Cor9:6-7, Luke 6:31, 38.

(3) Principle of Planning (Genesis 1: 2&8)
Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
You can never be a wanderer and achieve much, settle down and plan your life. God had no dwelling place until He planned and created Heaven. Luke 14:28, Pro 24:27. Who is he that wants to build a tower, and would not sit down to count the cost whether he has enough to take off, and peradventure, to complete it? He, who fails to plan, plans to fail.
(4) Principle of Service (Mat 26:7-13, Mark 9:34-37)
Mat 26:7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
Mat 26:8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
Mat 26:9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
Mat 26:10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
Mat 26:11 For ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always.
Mat 26:12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.
Mat 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Mark 9:34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
Mark 9:35 And he sat down and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
Mark 9:36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
Mark 9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
(5) Principle of ‘Nocturnalism’ (Ps.16:7, 2 Sam 7:4)
Ps 16:7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
2 Sam 7:4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying, …
The Lord instructs in the night! Nocturnal means ‘at night’. The night is the time to really study, and get many things done, because, there is no such silent moment in the whole day, that gives room for self-improvement. Therefore, the principle of ‘Nocturnalism’ is one of the principles of great achievement.
(6) Principle of Reliance: Zech 4:6, I Sam.1:9, Ecclesiastes 9:11, Romans 9:16, Proverbs 27:1.
Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
1Sam 1:9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
Ecc 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Rom 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Pro 27:1 Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
