A CHOSEN VESSEL: Broken or Golden One?

The Meanings of a Vessel:

  1. A ship/boat – are you depending on God for stability?
  2. A container – are you holding God’s word?
  3. A vein: as a link – are you sharing the Word of God?

Saul of Tarsus was chosen right from his mother’s womb, but he would have forever been a chosen broken vessel; if not for God’s intervention, then, he became a chosen golden vessel. One time in His life, Prophet Jonah became a chosen broken vessel.

Hear this, you are a broken vessel, if:

  1. You are an instrument in devil’s hands
  2. You are a disobedient child of God.

Saul of Tarsus was once an instrument in devil’s hands: Acts 9:13, “Then Ananias answered, Lord I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.”

            What a broken vessel!

David also in his life time was once forgotten, useless to God’s work. In fact, he is exactly a broken vessel; hear him in Psalms 31:12, “I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

Then later, Saul of Tarsus became a chosen golden vessel.

Acts 9:15, “But the Lord said unto him (Ananias): for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings and the children of Israel:

Jonah was also chosen, but out of disobedience; he went in another direction rather than heading to where God sent him; instead of Nineveh, he went to Tarshish, and he became a chosen, broken vessel ending up in the belly of a fish where he spent 3 nights and days.

2 Tim 20 says, “But in a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth and some to honor, and some to dishonor.

Hear this, wherever you find God’s children, there would be found children of perdition (Job 1:6); for one purpose or the other.

The Differences between a Broken Vessel, Golden Vessel, and A Vessel Made of Wood & Earth

Vessel

Conclusion: You can right now be a broken vessel; don’t settle to be of wood/earth. You can become a golden vessel. Once, Saul was a broken vessel; David, Jonah and even one of the 2 sons in Mat. 21. What you need is repentance – Mat. 21:29; through Jesus.

    1. That was a manipulation from the devil, he is an expert at that, but God is merciful unto us, He would and has never given up on us. In fact, that is the grace he is giving those that are disrupting peace on this planet earth, He is eagerly waiting for them to come back home. If he wants to destroy them on our behalf, it doesn’t take Him a fraction of a second. Best wishes!
