Pursue Your Vision!

Pursue your vision picture

It is a must you have a vision in life. Those that have no vision in life are not as many as those that have a vision but are not pursuing it. Having a vision alone cannot make you successful, but pursuing your vision can do.

Having vision without actually pursuing it, is like wishing to be successful without hard work. It is like staying at the mark, without running, after the whistling, and hoping to be the first? Can that ever happen? Pursuing is running after something, those that don’t have what they are running after would catch up with nothing. When you run after your vision in order to catch up with it, that is when you can catch up and overtake it.

Your vision is an enemy which you have to pursue and conquer. It would never want you to catch up with it. As you are running after it, it is running away from you. It is like running after your own shadow, as you are running after your shadow, it is running away from you. In catching up with your shadow, you have to run after it at the right time, so that it would be left at your back. It is not an easy task, it would take patience, and a lot of planning and strategy.

It is not bad to run after your vision, but it should not be forever, a time has to come that you are to put your vision at the back. When visions are pursued at the right time, it would definitely be left behind. It has to be realized. Anything you pursue after relentlessly would be caught up with one day, the same applies to vision.

Habakkuk 2:3 & 4 – And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Don’t Ask Amiss

Wealth

You ask but not receive because you ask amiss (James 4:3). People normally ask for wealth instead of power to get wealth. To those who seek money, it becomes the root of all evil; to those who want to be empowered to get money, it becomes their servants and the root of good deeds. Money is not the root of all evil, it is the love of money that is the root of all evil.

It is not wrong to seek wealth, but it is better to seek power to get wealth. When you seek the power to get wealth, indirectly, you are seeking the kingdom of God; and those that seek the kingdom always have every good thing including money and wealth added to them. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all other things will be added to you (John 6:33).

Elisha sought the kingdom of God by asking for a double portion of Elijah’s anointing (2 Kings 2:9), and we never heard that he lacked anything. King Solomon sought the kingdom of God by asking for wisdom to judge his people (1 Kings 3:3), and every other thing including money, gold, and wealth were added to him.

It is better to ask for power to get wealth so that at every point in time and in any place, you can have more than enough wealth. When you have wealth, you are not yet a blessing, because you will be afraid to give out of it, but when you have the power to get wealth, you will be a blessing by giving to others in order to bless them.

It is better to ask for power to get wealth instead of wealth itself, in order not to be bitter in life.

Deuteronomy 8:18 – But you shall remember the Lord your God: for it is he that gives you power to get wealth,….

Take Control of Your Life

Take controlBe in control of your life. Be a driver, not a passenger nor a conductor in your life matters. Be a major player, not a spectator. Be a major contributor, not a seeker.

Your life is precious! Nobody can drive your life the way you would. You can’t be a passenger when it comes to your life. If you don’t take the driver seat, you may sleep; and you wouldn’t know where you are heading to in life. You have to be actively involved when it comes to getting to your desired destination. Don’t let the boisterous wind and water of life take over the control from you!

Many people have willingly surrendered the control of their life to another driver. If you never knew before, God is in control of everything, but He has given you the power to take charge of your life, situations, and everything created.

Have you ever seen a car that moves without a driver? You said yes. If the car is ignited by a driver, and the driver jumps out of the car, the car is surely heading for an accident. Your life is in danger when you stop controlling it, at any point in time. Moreover, if the car is programmed, and left moving on its own, it can never move on another route. For instance, if a car is programmed for use in China, to use it in Nigeria would be a challenge, unless, it is re-programmed. If you program your life according to a way of life, it cannot work when you face a challenge of life. A programmed life can never move at the desired speed.

In life, some parents/guidance have programmed the life of their children/wards, instead of leaving them to decide what they want, and want to be in life by themselves. Whether you are parents or  guardians, what you need to do is to guide your children to take a correct decision in life. You don’t decide for them, leave the steering in their hands, and guide them along the way. When they move too fast, caution them.; when they are moving towards a pot hole or a bend, hint them. When you have taught them about life, leave the control in their hands, and be watching afar off. Notwithstanding, you can call them once in a while to test their driving expertise in the things of life, you can become Socrates to them, to squeeze the best out of them.

The car veers off the road when you switch to thinking about another event while driving. The same phenomenon applies when you stop thinking about your life just for a second. It may veer off the course. Never stop thinking about your life. Take charge and be in control.

God Once Had a Problem!

There is a reason for every season.

doubt 1

There are different seasons of life, wet and dry, cold and hot. There are winter, summer, autumn, and spring. Everybody would agree with me that, some seasons favor planting than others; that is the reason we do say, “Planting Season.” But this day, technology has made it possible to plant all round the year. Even in some places where they have soil fertility problem, technology has restored and made all-time planting possible. For instance, I learnt that Israel topography and her soil fertility did not favor successful farming, but through technology, they are able to farm profitably everything season. Highly mechanized farming through technology has made her to be one of the best agriculture.

Farming is now made possible in every season. God is not wicked, there is a reason he made them different: wet and dry, cold and hot, summer and winter. If hot season does not precede a raining season, how would there be evaporation that would later result into rain? Jesus died so that he can rise and live again. Just like a seed planted, it would first of all die, and then begin to germinate, and then blown fully into life. Can you now see there is a reason for every season? Sometimes, a particular product would be scarce in the market, thereafter, it would be surplus. That is as a result of different reason. But now this day, through technology, you can plant and harvest all year round, and a particular product can be made available throughout the year.

What is this technology? Is it no more the application of scientific knowledge to solve human problems and made life easier? The definition still validates the fact that, problems, or let’s call it challenges, would always surface, even if it is once in one’s life time. Our own responsibility is to solve them; we have been equipped to do so. God once had a problem! He looked for a way to solve it; the problem was solved once and forever. The humanity committed a grave sin, and the verdict was that they all have to end in their graves. They have to pay for the debt by death. God is a just God; He has nothing to do than to let the Law takes its course and effect, though it is not easy. Have you ever witnessed a judge presiding on the case of his son? This is not an easy task. How would a good father be looking at his children (billions of them) to die? He has to apply wisdom. He needs somebody to die on their behalf, though this is not practicable again, Jesus has gone to the Cross to die once, and that is all, everybody has to be responsible for his/her action this day.

He searched and re-searched the whole Heaven, before He could find a sinless lamb, no angel could stand it, I imagine them saying one more time, “Why is God doing this for man?” The father has unconditional love for his children; therefore, it is normal for them to jealous. The angels were jealous of human beings because they know we don’t deserve the fair treatment we receive from God. The first son and the first born of the children of God agreed to die for all the other children. They thought he died in place of Barabbas only; not knowing he died because of the whole human race. What wisdom on the path of both the father and the son is this? For billions of people to die a cruel death, I think one is better. Human race needs to pay allegiance and obeisance for this forever.

What I want to bring out of the story is that, there would always be a problem/challenge, even if it is once in a life time. There would always be a scarcity, famine, inflation, and recession, even if it is once in a life time. What we need to do is to prepare ahead. God used wisdom to solve what would have been a great loss forever. Israel used technology, which is scientific wisdom, to solve their soil infertility. They can plant anything in every season, and it would germinate, grow, and mature to harvesting. They can plant every day, at any time, in any season, whether there is drought or not, it doesn’t affect them.

When people were starving and dying of hunger, Joseph was enjoying the fullness of God. He always communed with God, and God had shown him what was about to happen, he prepared ahead to neutralize the negative effect of recession. He was even living better than when there was no recession. It was God’s revelation and wisdom that helped him out.

You have to jolt into reality. You can live far above inflation and recession. You can thrive in every season of life through wisdom by planning. You can live above every challenge of life. God once had a challenge, and He solved it.
